The goal of this conference is to bring together users, researchers, and developers of real-time, human-in-the-loop simulators and facilitate an open exchange of ideas, research results, success stories, user expectations, and recent technological developments in the field of transportation simulation. This year's specialty track examines the approaches for defining and distributing standard scenarios across simulator platforms. Papers will be peer-reviewed and published in CD-ROM proceedings.

Tours of the simulation facilities at The University of Iowa, including the National Advanced Driving Simulator, were available during the conference.

The conference took place at The Sheraton Iowa City Hotel.
