    • Video card
The largest limiting factor in any system is usually the video card. If you're building the computer from scratch, you most likely won't have a problem. However, some OEM computers (Dell, HP, etc) have internal space limitations that make the outfitting of a higher-grade video card impossible.

    • Power supply
Does your OEM computer have the appropriate rating to run with an aftermarket video card? If not, you might need to install an aftermarket power supply (PSU). Although most power supplies are in a standard form factor, OEMs sometimes manufacture their cases to not allow aftermarket power supplies.

NewEgg.com hosts a great application to get a guideline on what kind of power supply you might need.
