The "desktop" miniSim configuration is a small footprint, desk-mounted simulator with the same powerful and flexible miniSim software found on our largest systems. It is our most affordable research driven simulator.
Hardware
- miniSim PC (rackmount or tower case)
- Windows 10 Pro
- ASRock X299 Motherboard
- Intel Core i7 3.6GHz 10-Core Processor
- 2 SSD in RAID-1 configuration (500 Gb ea, 500 Gb usable)
- Three 24” front channel displays, and 18” dashboard display.
- Fanatec Club Sport V2.5 base, Full-Size Leather-Wrapped Wheel, CSR Elite Pedals
- A 24” operator display with USB Extension for keyboard and mouse
- 2.1 Audio System
- Tactile Transducer (provides road/engine vibration)
Software
Software as per the separate UIRF Software Transfer:
- NADS miniSim™ real-time driving simulation software
- NADS ISAT™ scenario authoring tool for creating/modifying scenarios
- NADS TMT™ virtual environment authoring tool with 92 sample tiles
- NADS nDaqTools and GUI for Matlab to assist in Data Reduction
Tile Mosaic Tool software per the separate Rockwell Collins agreement:

Schedule
Lead times for the miniSim Desktop system are from the date of the Award Activation Notice issued by the Department of Sponsored Programs (DSP):
- Desktop is 6-8 weeks
This occurs after DSP has reviewed the Purchase Order and any issues have been resolved. Once the system is shipped and received, arrangements will be made for installation and training. Typically, travel arrangements are made at least 14 days in advance.
