New or existing miniSims can be equipped with a compact high performance motion system from D-Box Technologies Inc..
We have carefully integrated the D-Box system with our miniSim software to provide seamless operation. Compact, durable actuators on the cab frame provide motion cues to the operator (heave, roll, pitch), as well as vibration cues representing road surface texture (gravel, concrete, asphalt), vehicle speed, and engine RPM. These cues combine to create an immersive driving experience, enhancing control of the vehicle and increasing driver comfort.
The motion option is available for both new and existing miniSim systems. Motion systems are also available for Half-Cab and custom systems with up to 6 in [150 mm] stroke and 2,000 lb [900 kg] capacity.
The system has the following specifications:
- 3 degrees of freedom: Heave, roll, pitch
- Small, compact vertical actuators:
- Three actuators for Simplified Cab systems
- Four actuators for Quarter Cab systems
- Actuator specifications:
- Capacity: 250 lb [112 kg] each
- Stroke: 1.5 inch [38 mm]
- Power: 120/230 VAC, 1.5/1.0 A per actuator, 60/50 Hz
- Road surface types: gravel, concrete, asphalt
- Engine vibration
- Tuning menu with save/recall of motion parameters
- Emergency Stop buttons within reach of the driver and operator
