Shawn Allen is the Team Leader for Real-Time Visualization and Graphics at the National Advanced Driving Simulator. Mr. Allen joined NADS in 1997 and is a part of the team that developed the real-time virtual environment for the NADS.

Mr. Allen has an extensive graphics background ranging from traditional artist media to real-time computer-generated parametric 3D environments. Project experience includes synthetic environment generation in geo-typical and geo-specific forms, road network generation, and integrating GIS data into the VE construction process.

Current interests include integrating roadway engineering models into simulator environments, game graphics techniques and computer graphics modeling.
